Verifying Genuine Airpods

Sometimes, you buy an Airpod from an unauthorized person and he deceives you with the fake ones. Before buying such an expensive device, you should ask for the serial number of the Airpods and follow these steps.

  • Get the serial number of your AirPods or find it in the Apple store.
  • Enter the serial number here on checkcoverage.apple.com
  • If it shows an Airpod, then it is okay, if not then these are fake.

Reset Your Airpods

This can help fix the glitches and bugs. Press down the digital crown button and the noise control button together until the LED indicator on your Airpods first turns an amber color and then turns white.

Restart you Airpods

Sometimes this might help you resolve the issue. Hold down the digital crown button and the noise control button simultaneously until the LED light turns to amber. This will restart your AirPods.

Check Head detection In Settings

Sometimes head detection in settings might be off.

  • Go to iPhone settings.
  • Go to Bluetooth in the settings.

  • Go to the settings of your iPhone or Mac you are using.
  • Now click on the info icon “ℹ️” just in front of your Airpods Max.
  • Scroll down to the bottom and click on the version. Here you will see the version you are using.
  • Now click on the Apple support link written below the version and see which is the updated version. If you are using an outdated Airpod Max, then just take out the Airpod Max, plug it in the charger, and place it near the iPhone or Mac you are using. After sometime around 20 minutes it will be updated.
